Washer Repair — Book a Visit Today
A washer quits at the worst time. Usually mid-cycle, with a drum full of water and towels. Around here, hard water is a big part of the story. Scale builds on heater elements, valve screens, and pressure switch hoses. Add a lint-heavy dryer room and a hot garage, and parts wear faster than the manual says. Common failures we see: drain pumps jammed with coins and hair, worn door boot seals, broken lid switches, tired suspension rods, and control boards that lose a cycle step. A visit starts with questions, then a run of the cycle if it will run. We test, not guess. We carry common parts on the van. Call us and tell us what the machine is doing.

The washer symptoms we hear most
- It stops with water still in the tub Drain pump blockage, clogged drain hose, or a failed pump motor
- The whole laundry room shakes on spin Worn suspension rods or shocks, bad balance ring, or an unlevel floor
- It fills forever and never starts washing Water inlet valve, scaled screens, or a pressure switch reading wrong
- Smells sour even after I clean it Biofilm under the door boot, detergent buildup, and a plugged drain channel
- Lights come on but nothing happens Lid switch or door lock failure, or a control board that won't advance
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Make sure the lid or door latches fully, since most washers won't move a drop of water without that switch closing.
- 2Pull the small filter door at the bottom front and look for coins, buttons, or hair choking the pump.
- 3Check that both hot and cold supply valves are open all the way and the hoses aren't kinked behind the machine.
- 4Rock the machine corner to corner; if it wobbles, the feet may need leveling before you blame the motor.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us what it's doing
Ring us or fill in the form. Give us the noise, the smell, the error code, the brand. Small details help us load the right parts before we ever knock on your door.
- Step 2
We come look
Our tech tests the machine instead of guessing. You hear what failed and why, in plain words. Then you decide whether repairing it makes sense or replacing it makes more sense.
- Step 3
Repair and retest
Approved work gets done, often the same visit. We run a full cycle before packing up, wipe down the area, and show you what changed so nothing surprises you next week.

Washer Repair — quick answers
Should I repair a washer or replace it?
Depends on age and what broke. A pump, valve, or lid switch on a mid-life machine is usually worth fixing. A failed transmission plus a bad board on an old unit is a harder call. We'll tell you straight what we find.
Why does my washer smell in a dry climate?
Moisture hides where air doesn't reach. The rubber door boot on front loaders traps water, lint, and soap film. Hard water makes that film stickier. Wipe the boot, leave the door cracked between loads, and run a hot cleaning cycle monthly.
Do you work on front loaders and top loaders?
Both, plus stacked units and washer-dryer combos. We're an independent shop and service all major brands. Tell us the brand and roughly how old it is when you call us, and we'll bring likely parts along.
How long does a repair usually take?
Many jobs finish in one visit, often under two hours. Pump swaps, valves, switches, and belts are straightforward. Sealed bearing work or a special-order control board takes a second trip once the part lands.
Can hard water really break a washer?
It wears things down. Scale coats heating elements, narrows inlet valve screens, and stiffens the little hose that feeds the pressure switch. That shows up as slow fills, cold water, or a machine that misreads how full it is.
Do you offer evening or weekend visits?
We run a swing-shift friendly schedule because laundry problems don't wait for a weekday morning. Let us know the windows that work for your household when you call, and we'll find one that fits.
