We fix ovens in Provo, gas or electric, all major brands, so reach us or fill in the quote form. Cookies burn on one side. Preheat takes forever, or never beeps. Maybe the oven door won't latch, the bake element glows unevenly, or the display flashes a code you've never seen. Ovens fail right before the birthday dinner, which is how it always goes. We check elements, igniters, sensors, thermostats, and control boards. Provo families cook big, and we'd rather get yours working than have you eat out again. Clear scheduling and honest options, from an independent shop.

Oven Repair in Provo — quick answers

My oven runs hot. Is that a sensor or a board?

Most often the temperature sensor. It's a probe inside the cavity, and it drifts as it ages, so the control keeps heating past your setpoint. We measure its resistance cold and again hot. If it reads correctly, then we move on to the control board.

The igniter glows but the gas never lights. Why?

Glowing isn't enough. That igniter has to pull a specific amount of current before the safety valve will open. A weak one still glows orange while the valve stays shut. So we test the draw, not the color.

Can I keep using the oven with a broken door seal?

You can, but expect uneven results and a hotter kitchen. Heat escaping makes the oven cycle constantly, and the top and bottom bake differently. A flattened gasket is a quick fix compared to chasing temperature complaints that move around on you.

What does the self-clean cycle do to an oven?

It runs extremely hot, and that heat is hard on thermal fuses, door latches, and control boards. Plenty of ovens die right after a self-clean. If yours went dark after one, mention that when you call us.

How soon can someone come out in Provo?

Usually within a day or two. Same day happens if we're already working near your ZIP. Call us with your appliance brand and what it's doing, and ask about the early morning or evening windows if you work days. Those are often open.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us what it's doing

Ring us or fill in the form, and describe the noise, the smell, the error code and the brand. Small details help us load the right parts before we ever knock on your door.

  2. Step 2

    We come look

Our tech tests the machine instead of guessing. You hear what failed and why, in plain words. Then you decide whether repairing it makes sense or replacing it makes more sense.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and retest

Approved work gets done, often on the same visit. We run a full cycle before packing up, wipe down the area, then show you what changed so nothing surprises you next week.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know hard waterValley water leaves scale on everything, and we see it in clogged dishwasher jets and crusted washer valves. Water heaters groan, too. We check for mineral buildup out of habit, because around here it's usually part of the story.
  • Swing-shift friendlyNot everybody is home at ten in the morning. We schedule around night shifts and split shifts, and around long commutes. Tell us the window that actually works for your household and we'll aim for it.
  • Independent, not steeredNobody pays us to push a brand. We service all major makes as an independent shop, so our advice on repair versus replace comes from what we saw inside your machine.
  • Straight talk on old unitsSome appliances aren't worth another part. We'll say so. If a repair is likely to buy you real time, we'll say that too, and let you pick from there.
  • All major brands, gas & electricFrom Whirlpool and GE to Samsung, LG, Bosch and KitchenAid, serviced independently.
  • Straight answersIf it isn't worth repairing, we'll say so, often right on the phone.
